2006 KR Proton KR211V – Kenny Roberts Honda Powered MotoGP Machine

The legendary Kenny Roberts and team (Proton KR) took on the task of developing their own motogp weapon. They had previous versions to the one you see here. As opposed to the other KR Protons (KR3, KR5..) this was was designated the KR211V. As you guessed, it’s because it utilizes the 990cc Honda RC211V V5 powerplant instead of the Proton V5. Proton V5 is pictured at the bottom of this post. This 2006 Kenny Roberts Proton KR211V raced by Kenny Roberts Jr was on display at the Barber Motorsports Museum. It only saw action in the 2006 MotoGP season. Enjoy the photos.
