If you didn’t get enough of Pierobon and Boulder Motor Sports from the X60R posts, we got another one. This one is something special. What you see here is a Pierobon X80R. This is a kit supplied from Pierobon in Italy. What do you get? Hand crafted aluminum lightweight aluminum frame, swing arm, subframe, and fuel tank. A full titanium Akrapovic Evo exhaust and Carbon Fiber race fairing make this kit even more drool worthy. Stefano Mesa raced this Boulder Motor Sports Pierobon X80R to victory at the AHRMA Pro Challenge during the 2024 Barber Vintage Festival
Pierobon intended these bikes to be use a Ducati 848 power plant and for most is more than enough. This bike was originally built with a spicy 1098 engine. Stefano Mesa had race this machine in the 2023 AHRMA Vintage final at Barber Motorsports but was forced out of the race due to an engine failure. What did Boulder do? They went bigger, better, and more rare to up the level of coolness. In fact it takes this already amazing machine to a level we wouldn’t have thought was possible. the 1098 engine was replaced with an EX-Chaz Davis Ducati World Superbike F0 1198 engine capable of 200hp+.
The powerplant on the Boulder Motor Sports Pierobon X80R is so intense, Stefano Mesa had them take out some power to allow himself to actually go a tad faster. The bike has a full Magnetti Marelli electronic system in order to keep this beast a bit more under control
